Privacy Policy for Pray with me

Effective date: July 22, 2026
Last updated: August 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AHopeBit ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the mobile application Pray with me (package name: ahope.bit.praywithme).

Pray with me is a Catholic prayer app that provides Rosary guidance and recorded prayer audio, prayer records and statistics, reminders, Daily Readings or Daily Mass content, local data export/import, optional paid voice features, advertising, analytics, and in-app support inquiries.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores core app data locally on your device. This may include:

  • prayer records, sessions, progress, streaks, goals, badges, challenges, and Angelus records;
  • app language, selected prayer language and voice, audio-pack status, playback settings, font settings, reminder settings, notification settings, and other preferences;
  • purchase entitlement information needed to make purchased features available; and
  • inquiry history and the ticket identifier and access token used by your copy of the app to retrieve replies.

2. Local Export and Import

The app's export and import features are initiated by you. When you choose Export, the app creates a JSON file containing supported prayer data and settings, and you choose where to save, move, or share it. When you choose Import, the app reads the file you select and restores supported data. If you choose an external storage or sharing service, that service's terms and privacy policy apply.

3. Support Inquiries

If you submit an inquiry in the app, we process information needed to receive and answer it, including:

  • inquiry category, subject, message, and follow-up replies;
  • app version, device manufacturer/model, Android version, device-derived country information, the language selected in the app, submission time, and time-zone offset; and
  • a random app-install identifier, IP address, and ordinary request logs used for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

The app sends the inquiry through our support relay to a private support workspace. External-service credentials are held only by the relay and are not included in the distributed app. The app stores a ticket identifier and access token locally so that only the app holding that token can retrieve or post replies for that inquiry.

Do not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information in an inquiry.

4. Analytics and Diagnostics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand feature usage, diagnose problems, and improve the app. Information that may be processed includes screen views; app interactions; feature-use metadata related to prayer features, search, settings, inquiries, audio packs, ads, and purchases; device and app identifiers; approximate location derived from IP address; device and app information; and technical or performance information.

Locally stored prayer records are not uploaded for analytics or advertising. Analytics may receive coarse feature-use metadata, such as whether a Rosary was started or completed and non-content prayer settings such as playback mode or speed. Analytics does not receive the selected mystery, prayer dates, prayer duration, or prayer-record status. We treat the remaining signals as app-interaction metadata. We do not use them to infer, classify, or profile a user's religious beliefs, to treat a user differently based on an inferred belief, or to personalize advertising based on religion.

Where required, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform. Google's consent-management system may interpret the user's choices for ad storage, ad personalization, ad user data, and analytics storage. Users can review or change available choices through Settings > Ad privacy choices when Google reports that the privacy-options entry point is required.

5. Advertising

The app uses Google's mobile advertising service to display ads. Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google configuration, Google and its partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, device/app information, ad impressions, clicks, and measurement data to provide contextual or personalized ads and prevent fraud.

The app displays Ad privacy choices in Settings when Google's User Messaging Platform reports that the privacy-options entry point is required. This opens Google's form so users can review or change available advertising and analytics-storage choices. Otherwise, Settings continues to show the privacy-policy link. You can also manage advertising identifiers and related controls in Android or your Google account.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain personalized-advertising disclosures as a "sale" or "sharing." Where applicable, the consent/privacy controls described above are provided for those choices.

6. Purchases

Optional paid features are processed through Google Play Billing. Google Play handles the transaction. We do not receive or store your payment card number, bank account number, or full billing details. The app may process product identifiers, purchase tokens/status, and entitlement information needed to complete, acknowledge, or restore a purchase.

7. Downloadable Audio Packs and Content Delivery

The app downloads optional language and voice audio packs from external file storage and a content delivery network (CDN). The infrastructure provider may process ordinary delivery information such as IP address, request time, user agent, requested file, response status, and related security or delivery logs.

8. Daily Readings, Daily Mass, and External Links

The app may display Daily Readings content for which a basis for use has been confirmed and provide a direct link to the official source, including USCCB pages for English content and CBCK pages for Korean content. The app may also open privacy-policy, source, or other official websites.

When you choose an external link, the destination website is operated by its own provider. Its privacy policy, cookies, and terms apply. We do not send your prayer records or locally exported data to that website merely because the link is shown.

9. Android Permissions

The app may use the following Android permissions when needed:

  • internet and network-state access for ads, analytics, inquiries, audio-pack downloads, and external content;
  • advertising ID access for mobile advertising where applicable;
  • notification, exact-alarm, boot-completed, wake-lock, foreground-service, and media-playback permissions for reminders and prayer audio; and
  • legacy storage access on older Android versions for local export/import.

The app does not request camera, microphone, or precise-location permission.

10. Service Providers and International Processing

Implementation product names may change, so the main text describes services by type. The organizations that process information and their roles are listed below.

Service provider Purpose and information types Transfer timing, method, and processing region Retention basis
Google LLC App analytics, advertising and consent management, app distribution, and payments; device/app identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, app interactions, advertising, purchase, and diagnostic information Encrypted network transfer when the relevant feature or SDK operates; the United States and other countries where Google operates processing infrastructure According to Google settings, consent choices, contracts, and retention policies
Cloudflare, Inc. Support relay, request authentication, rate limiting, and abuse prevention; inquiry information, install identifier, IP address, and technical logs Encrypted network transfer when submitting, viewing, or replying to an inquiry; the United States and other request-processing locations As needed for support, security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations

You may avoid an optional feature, change available advertising privacy choices, or contact us to request deletion or restriction. Doing so may limit all or part of the inquiry, audio-pack, advertising, or purchase feature that needs the information.

The service providers listed above may process information outside the country where you live. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies and an international-transfer safeguard is required, the relevant processing is subject to an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism described in the relevant provider's contractual and privacy materials. You may contact us for information available to us about safeguards relevant to a particular transfer.

11. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We disclose or allow service providers to process information only as needed to operate the features described above, complete purchases, provide support, measure or serve ads, protect the service, comply with law, or respond to valid legal requests.

12. Retention and Deletion

  • Local app data remains on your device until you delete records, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
  • Exported JSON files remain wherever you saved or shared them until you delete them.
  • Support inquiries and replies may be retained for the time reasonably needed to answer the inquiry, maintain support history, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
  • Information processed by external services is retained according to the table above and each provider's applicable policy.

Data Deletion Requests

To request deletion of information held in our support system, email ahopebit.labs@gmail.com with the subject Pray with me data deletion request. If the request concerns an inquiry, include the inquiry ticket identifier when available. Do not send identification documents or unnecessary religious, health, or other sensitive information.

We may ask for the minimum information reasonably needed to locate the record and verify that the requester controls the relevant inquiry ticket. We will delete or anonymize information that we control unless retention is reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Deleting locally stored inquiry history removes only the local copy; it does not by itself delete the corresponding record from the support system.

13. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent: for personalized advertising and associated ad-storage, ad-personalization, ad-user-data, and analytics-storage purposes where consent is required. You may withdraw or change an available choice through Settings > Ad privacy choices.
  • Performance of a contract: to process purchases, restore entitlements, and deliver paid features requested by you.
  • Legitimate interests: to respond to support requests, secure the app and support service, prevent abuse and fraud, diagnose failures, and improve reliability, where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We do not rely on legitimate interests for personalized advertising where consent is required.
  • Legal obligations: to retain or disclose information when required by applicable law or a valid legal request.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network transport, keeping support-service credentials outside the distributed app, and limiting inquiry access with ticket-specific credentials. Payment-card and bank-account details are handled by Google Play and are not collected by us.

No transmission, device, service, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep your device and exported files secure.

15. Children

The app is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child. The app does not require users to create an account.

If we learn that a child submitted personal data through a support inquiry or another optional feature, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us at ahopebit.labs@gmail.com.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of personal data, and to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To exercise a right, contact ahopebit.labs@gmail.com. We may request only information reasonably necessary to verify the request. If you are in the EEA, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. If you are in the United Kingdom, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when app features, service providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. We will post the revised policy with an updated date.
